Hello, Nina! I really had a good time looking at the pictures you took on Halloween day. I was surprised that there's a lot of kinds of costumes for Halloween day! They looked good on each of trick-or-treaters who came to your house!
(Trick…or…Treat) That’s my first time I was here in Halloween. I never see it before. It’s really beautiful celebration but when I saw the children I had home sick because I miss my brothers :(
This blog is a place to document the language learning experiences of the UMEI003 class at the Maryland English Institute, University of Maryland College Park during the Fall 2006 semester. The class begins on Sept. 8, 2006 and ends on December 7, 2006. The students are enrolled in two classes: Reading/Writing/Grammar (which includes the blog project) and Listening/Speaking. Classes meet Monday through Friday. The students are adults, aged 18-30+. Their proficiency level is intermediate.
I have been a Lecturer in English as a Second Language at the University of Maryland, College Park (Maryland English Institute) since 1981. Since beginning my ESL career in France in 1971, I have taught primarily in higher education settings. I also enjoy working with adults from the immigrant community.
I live in Gaithersburg, Maryland with my husband Christoforos and our daughter, Vicki.
